I am Research Director at Université Gustave Eiffel and currently seconded to the LBMC, assuming research and teaching responsibilities.

Trained as a mechanical engineer in aeronautics, I earned my PhD in mechanics/biomechanics from Arts et Métiers Paris in 2006. I joined Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 as an Associate Professor in 2008, where my research focused on subject-specific modelling for health and transport safety. Since 2019, I have been affiliated with the international joint laboratory LIA EVASYM. In 2022, I joined Université Gustave Eiffel as a Research Director to expand my research towards modelling human variability and uncertainty for digital twins in Health, Comfort and Safety.

I contribute to major national and international research projects on human modelling and collaborate with industry on applied research projects, including partnerships with clothing and sports equipment suppliers, car manufacturers, passenger seating suppliers, and medical device companies. I have supervised numerous Master’s, PhD, and postdoctoral researchers in the fields of human modelling, biomechanics, and experimental characterization of biological tissues.

Since 2008, I have held various administrative and teaching responsibilities, formerly within the Bachelor of Technical and Applied Studies programme (for Mechanical and Production Engineering), and now within the Master’s degree programme in Mechanics / Biomechanics at the University.
