Psychologist engineer

Aurélie BANET received the M.Sc. degree in psychology (in 2006) and a Ph.D degree in Cognitive Psychology from the University Lumière Lyon II, Lyon, France (in 2010). She is currently Psychologist engineer at the Laboratory of Accident Mechanism Analysis (LMA) of the University Gustave Eiffel, Salon-de-Provence, France and she is working as an in-depth crash investigator for the EDA program (Detailed Cases of Accidents).

She was involved (in partnership with LESCOT) in several European projects dedicated to Risk Awareness in-depth analysis and modeling, and for the study of attitudes towards risk and risk taking when driving (2BESAFE, SARTRE4, PROMOSECUR). She has been also involved in the European projects called VIDAS concerning assistance systems for drivers, and PIONEERS in order to identify the motorcyclist’s needs in terms of safety equipment.

Aurélie BANET also participated in the national project called BIALCOL, which focuses on the biphasic effects of alcohol on young drivers, and in the ENA project, where she contributed to a survey on the societal acceptability of autonomous shuttles.

She has a prefectural approval to conduct road risk awareness courses since 2011, she also intervenes in training related to road safety.

Within the LMA, she was president of the APIO staff association from 2016 to 2019.
