Activité de recherche :

Mon activité de recherche se structure autour des deux axes suivants :

•   La caractérisation des impacts sonores en milieu urbain : l'objectif est d’affiner la caractérisation des impacts sonores en milieu urbain, en collaborant avec des chercheurs issus des communautés de la perception sonore, de l’épidémiologie et des mathématiques appliquées, et en l’ouvrant à d’autres disciplines. Cet axe de recherche intègre également une réflexion sur l’apport des sciences participatives pour l’aide à la prise de décision en acoustique environnementale (cf. projet ANR SonoRezé II par exemple : https://sonoreze.fr/) ;

•   La modélisation de l’impact de la mobilité sur les environnements sonores urbains : l'objectif est de développer un cadre de modélisation permettant d’établir les liens entre mobilité et environnements sonores urbains. Cette recherche s’ouvre aux évaluations multicritères en incluant la dimension des pollutions atmosphériques (cf/ projet ANR SYMEXPO par exemple : https://symexpo.univ-gustave-eiffel.fr/). Cet axe de recherche comporte également une dimension prospective visant à définir les enjeux en termes acoustiques de la ville de demain.
Ces deux axes de recherche se rejoignent sur la question transversale des indicateurs acoustiques, centrale dans l’évaluation des impacts.

Research activities

My research activity focuses on the characterisation of urban noise environments, and on the study of the impact of mobility on noise. This research is structured around the following two axes:

  • The characterisation of urban noise environments. The objective is to propose innovative methods for the characterisation of noise environments, combining measurements and modelling, in order to (i) converge noise maps towards more realistic levels, (ii) orient noise maps towards more faithful representations of perceived sound environments, by taking into account sources other than road traffic, perceptual aspects, temporal dynamics of sound environments;
  • Multi-physics coupling for the reduction of environmental nuisances linked to road traffic. The objective is to link traffic and acoustic models to evaluate mobility solutions aimed at improving noise environments. This research is open to multi-criteria evaluations by including the dimension of atmospheric pollution. This line of research also includes a prospective dimension aimed at defining the acoustic challenges for the city of tomorrow.

These two lines of research come together on the transversal question of acoustic indicators, which is central to the evaluation of impacts.
